The freighter 'Burhan Dizman 3,' carrying a significant load of steel, became disabled and drifted approximately three kilometers off the coast of Propriano in Corse-du-Sud on January 16, 2018. The vessel encountered propulsion issues at 7:30 a.m., resulting in its emergency anchoring by noon the same day. The situation was critical, as weather conditions deteriorated with wind gusts reaching 100 km/h and wave heights of up to 3.5 meters. Fortunately, the tug 'Abeille Flandre,' stationed near Corsica, arrived on the scene by 9:30 a.m. to provide assistance.
