Cargo Vessel Sanko Fortuna Runs Aground on Paraná River
In the early hours of February 2, 2021, the Sanko Fortuna, a cargo vessel carrying an impressive 47,000 tons of maize, ran aground near Puerto San Martin on the Paraná River. The grounding occurred at coordinates 32° 39.78' N and 060° 43.36' W, shortly after the ship had completed its loading operations at the terminal and while it was en route downstream to Bahia Blanca for a topping procedure.
