Vostochnaya Stevedoring Company Launches Direct Container Service Linking Vietnam, China, and Korea
Vostochnaya Stevedoring Company (VSC) has recently rolled out an innovative direct service to streamline the import and export of containers to and from key Asian ports, including Hong Kong, Hai Phong, Ningbo, Shanghai, and Pusan. This new service, named KOREA – HAIPHONG – RUSSIA (KHPR), supersedes the previous PUSAN – VOSTOCHNY SERVICE (PVS) operated by Sinokor, featuring enhanced vessel calls to increase efficiency. Under the KHPR service, three vessels—HSL AQUA, FESCO VOYAGER, and KHARIS HERITAGE—will be deployed to facilitate operations. The inaugural vessel, HSL AQUA, which has a capacity of 1,060 TEUs, arrived at VSC on March 27, 2017, successfully unloading 757 TEUs and loading 831 TEUs. This upgraded service offers significantly improved cargo delivery capabilities, allowing for direct transportation of containers from Hong Kong, Hai Phong, Ningbo, and Shanghai to VSC, eliminating the need for handling and delays at Pusan port in South Korea.
