Universal Dream Successfully Refloated After Grounding Incident
The bulk carrier Universal Dream, which found itself aground at the end of May, was successfully refloated on June 18, 2017. Following the refloating, the vessel made its way to Bintulu Anchorage, where it arrived on June 19. Currently, the status of the ship and its subsequent plans remain unclear. The Universal Dream was on a course from Australia to Korea across the South China Sea when it ran aground near the coordinates 02 26N 109 00E, situated off the southern shore of Pulau Serasan island. At the time of the incident, the ship was carrying a load of sinter.
