Uk-95-Aart-Maaskant Vessel Reviews and Specifications

On August 1, 2017, shortly before 8 p.m., the Lowestoft RNLI's Shannon-Class relief lifeboat, named "Reg," embarked on a critical mission to assist a crew member aboard the trawler "Aart Maaskant - UK 95." Located six miles off the northeastern coast of Lowestoft, the vessel, which operates out of Ijmuiden, had been fishing when they received devastating news about a family bereavement. In urgent need of assistance to bring one of their crew members back to shore, the trawler reached out for help. Upon reaching the location, the "Reg" safely transported the crew member back to the Lifeboat Station, where Senior Superintendent Tim Jenkins was on hand to greet him. Tim then provided transportation to Norwich, facilitating the crew member's journey for a flight back to the Netherlands scheduled for the following morning.
