The eagerly awaited delivery of the final vessel in a series of three compact chemical oil tankers, constructed in Turkey, is approaching. German ownership under John T. Essberger (JTE) has expressed satisfaction with the progress, according to a report from The Motorship. The vessels are being built at Eregli Shipyard, with the second tanker in the 5,300dwt BV-classed lineup, Ursula Essberger, recently entering active service and making its inaugural trips across Europe. Earlier this year, company representatives announced that the last vessel, named Elsa Essberger, was anticipated to be ready by November. However, spokesperson Svante Domizlaff clarified to The Motorship that its delivery has been postponed until 'next year.' The delays stem from the original orders placed in 2009, during a challenging period for securing shipbuilding slots at favorable prices.
