On the evening of December 6, 2024, the freighter 'Valday', which had found itself adrift off the coast of Hoek van Holland, was salvaged by the vigilant Coast Guard tug 'Multraship Commander'. After securing the vessel, the tug transferred the 'Valday' to the skilled hands of tugs 'Fairplay 29' and 'Fairplay 21' in the Caland Canal. Following the transfer, the 'Multraship Commander' released its tow, allowing the 'Fairplay' team to guide the freighter through the low light and into the Nieuwe Waterweg. The successful operation culminated in the docking of the 'Valday' at Waalhaven in Rotterdam, specifically in basin 2, around 10 p.m. on the same day.
