ESL Shipping Ltd, a key player in the maritime industry and a subsidiary of the Aspo Group, has officially divested its oldest vessel, the m/s Hesperia, for an approximate value of EUR 3.3 million. This sale was finalized today, June 25, 2012, marking a significant milestone in the company's strategic fleet renewal initiative. The transaction is expected to contribute a notable gain of around EUR 2.4 million to ESL Shipping's profits for the second quarter. The m/s Hesperia, a vessel with a legacy dating back to 1991, is being replaced as part of the company's modernization efforts. Earlier this year, ESL Shipping welcomed two state-of-the-art 1A ice-strengthened Supramax vessels into its fleet in January and May 2012, further enhancing its operational capacity.
