Emergency Medical Evacuation Saves Crew Member on the North Sea
On June 12, 2021, a critical medical emergency unfolded aboard the 'Vayenga Maersk' while the vessel was navigating the North Sea, en route from St. Petersburg to Rotterdam. The situation prompted swift action, as a crew member required urgent medical attention. At 1:15 p.m., an SAR helicopter dispatched by the Danish Civil Guard successfully hoisted the patient from the ship's deck. Following the aerial transfer, the injured crew member was flown to Aalborg hospital for necessary medical treatment. After this unexpected event, the 'Vayenga Maersk' continued its journey and eventually docked at the APMT Maasvlakte II on July 14.
