The cargo vessel 'Ventura' faced detention in Gdynia after its arrival on February 18, 2016. During a thorough inspection, authorities identified eight critical deficiencies on board. Issues flagged included: 1) Inoperative radio communications facilities essential for receiving marine safety information, 2) A malfunctioning fixed fire extinguishing installation, 3) Absence of a jacketed high-pressure oil leakage alarm, 4) Inoperative fire detection and alarm system, 5) A sewage treatment plant that did not meet required standards, 6) Insufficient power in auxiliary machinery, 7) UMS (Unmanned Machinery Space) ship inoperative, and 8) Non-compliance concerning navigation bridge visibility requirements. After addressing these concerns, the 'Ventura' was released on February 28 and set sail towards Fredrikstad, with an expected arrival date of March 3.

The MV 'Ventura' has been anchored at the port of Vigo since January 20, 2019, following a significant engine malfunction that emerged during its passage from Aveiro to Szczecin. Despite efforts to resume its journey on January 27, the vessel faced yet another engine issue, necessitating the intervention of the salvage tug 'Maria Pita.' The 'Ventura' was able to dock at 3:55 PM, highlighting ongoing challenges for the vessel and the port.

On October 16, 2018, the cargo vessel 'Ventura' encountered mechanical difficulties while sailing from Waterford. The ship suffered a broken exhaust manifold gasket at coordinates 49°08'28.8" N, 06°21'54" W, at approximately 6:40 a.m. Despite multiple attempts by Falmouth Coastguard to establish communication with the vessel, which was classified as Not Under Command (NUC), initial outreach efforts were unsuccessful. Finally, at 8:55 a.m., the 'Ventura' was able to connect with the Coastguard Operations Centre in Falmouth and reported the issue. The ship was back under way by 9:30 a.m., heading towards Penzance to obtain necessary spare parts and assistance from an engineer.

On the night of March 8, 2013, a maritime incident occurred off the coast of Cape Kaliakra, Bulgaria, involving the cargo vessels “Lady Gul” and the Comores-flagged “St. Catrien” (IMO: 7928770). The Lady Gul was making its way from Istanbul to Constanta when it collided with St. Catrien, which was headed from Constanta to Samsun. The collision took place approximately nine nautical miles south of Cape Kaliakra, leading to damage on both vessels. Thankfully, there were no reported injuries or environmental spills. After the incident, both ships made their way to Varna anchorage for further inspections and assessments. In response to the collision, the Ministry of Transport, Information Technology and Communications has initiated an investigation and is collaborating with the Maritime Rescue Center to determine the circumstances surrounding the event.
