On March 14, 2022, the cruise ship 'Viking Jupiter' made a significant stop off the coast of Mar de Plata due to a medical emergency involving one of its passengers. While the ship, carrying around 200 travelers, did not dock, it facilitated the urgent transfer of a 75-year-old woman suffering from respiratory distress attributed to pneumonia. Despite testing negative for COVID-19, her condition required immediate attention. A Gitán boat was utilized for her transfer to the shore, where she was taken to the Private Community Hospital (HPC) for treatment. Accompanying her were her companion and two nurses from the ship, ensuring she received proper care. Following this incident, 'Viking Jupiter' continued its voyage from Puerto Madryn to Montevideo, emphasizing the cruise line's commitment to passenger safety and health.

On September 28, 2021, authorities responded swiftly to a medical emergency when the 'Viking Jupiter' cruise ship, sailing from Malaga to Valencia, encountered a situation 25 nautical miles south of Alicante. Salvamento Marítimo received the call to facilitate the medical evacuation of an ill American woman and her husband. In response, the CCS Valencia deployed the Helimer 211 helicopter, which successfully hoisted the couple from the vessel. Following the airlift, the woman was transported to Alicante airport and subsequently taken to a hospital for urgent medical care. On July 2, 2019, the Viking Jupiter faced an unexpected mechanical issue while navigating the Thames Estuary, prompting the vessel to seek assistance at the Tilbury Landing Stage in London. The incident occurred shortly after the cruise ship departed from Greenwich at 2:50 a.m. Due to the urgency of the situation and the inability to perform on-sea repairs, the Viking Jupiter was towed by two Svitzer tugs to safely reach port. After troubleshooting the vessel's engine, it was ready to set sail again on July 4 at 2 a.m., making its way to Honningsvåg, where it successfully docked on July 8 at noon.
