CDC Reports Gastrointestinal Illness Affecting Passengers on Viking Neptune

On June 21, 2023, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reported that 12.7% of the 838 guests onboard the 'Viking Neptune' were suffering from abdominal cramps, vomiting, and diarrhea. Additionally, close to 2% of the vessel's crew reported similar gastrointestinal symptoms. This incident occurred while the cruise ship was traveling from New York to Boston, with an expected arrival date of June 22.
