Working Conditions Aboard the Viktoriya

In the early hours of October 6, 2015, at approximately 3 a.m., the container ship 'Fesco Posyet' encountered a Korean fishing vessel off the coast of Pohang. Despite the impact, the fishing vessel, which had a crew of six aboard, sustained damage but managed to stay afloat, ensuring the safety of its crew. Following the incident, the 'Fesco Posyet' continued its journey and successfully docked in Pohang several hours later, highlighting the resilience of both vessels involved in this maritime mishap.

The vessel Socol-6 is currently undergoing essential repair work at the Western India Shipyard Limited in Mormugao, ensuring heightened security measures are in place. This ship, which was transporting a significant arms and ammunition consignment from Russia to Vietnam, received the necessary clearance from the Indian defense ministry to enter the region. On July 28, 2012, the vessel was permitted to dock in Goan waters following this clearance, after experiencing substantial engine failure. Repair work is anticipated to be completed within approximately ten days, after which the Socol-6 will resume its journey. Until then, the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) is diligently providing security to the vessel.
