Mitsui O.S.K. Lines Unveils New China/West Coast India Shipping Service
Mitsui O.S.K. Lines (MOL) has officially introduced its latest shipping service, the China/West Coast India service (CIS), expanding its reach and connectivity in the maritime sector. This announcement was made via a press release detailing the strategic enhancement to MOL's current operations. The CIS service complements the already established Nhava Sheva Karachi Express (NKX), significantly bolstering MOL's network across key ports in India and connecting them with major hubs in China, Singapore, Malaysia, and Sri Lanka. As highlighted in the press release dated November 20, 2015, MOL is dedicated to fulfilling diverse logistics requirements while strengthening its brand presence within the Indian market. The company remains proactive in addressing customer demands and aims to contribute positively to economic growth both in India and globally. The new port rotation for the CIS service, which operates on a 42-day schedule, includes: - Qingdao - Shanghai - Ningbo - Shekou - Singapore - Port Kelang - Nhava Sheva (JNPCT) - Mundra - Colombo - Penang - Port Kelang - Hong Kong - Qingdao The westbound service, operated by the MV WAN HAI 507, is expected to arrive in Qingdao on February 27, 2016. The eastbound route will see the same vessel docking at Nhava Sheva on March 16, 2016. MOL plans to deploy six vessels, each capable of carrying between 4,000 and 4,500 TEU containers. In addition to the new CIS service, the existing NKX service maintains a 21-day turnaround with the following port rotation: - Port Kelang - Singapore - Nhava Sheva (GTI) - Karachi - Pipavav - Colombo - Port Kelang This new venture marks an exciting chapter for MOL as it continues to innovate and adapt to the growing demands of the maritime logistics industry.
