Wan-Hai-515 Vessel Reviews and Specifications

On March 4, 2013, Wan Hai Lines officially named its latest 4,680-TEU cargo ship, the Wan Hai 515, at the CSBC Kaohsiung shipyard in Taiwan. The ceremony was led by Wan Hai chairman Po Ting Chen, marking a significant milestone for the shipping company. The Wan Hai 515 features a length of 259 meters and a deadweight tonnage of 57,830, with a maximum draught of 42 feet. This impressive vessel is designed to cruise at speeds of 23.2 knots. Wan Hai Lines has placed a total order of 14 ships with CSBC, which includes four ships of 1,800-TEU capacity, four vessels with a 1,000-TEU capacity, and six additional ships rated at 4,500-TEU. All these new-construction vessels are expected to be delivered over the course of the next two years.
