On June 26, 2018, at 1:22 p.m., the cargo vessel 'Wega' experienced an issue with a broken fuel pump nozzle while navigating between Bilbao and Tilbury. The incident occurred at coordinates 51°20'02.4"N, 001°58'29.4"E. Despite the potential for disruption, the skilled crew of 12 onboard promptly executed repairs, successfully fixing the nozzle within approximately 30 minutes. Remarkably, the vessel did not require tug assistance and continued on its journey. 'Wega', carrying 5,762 metric tonnes of general cargo and 283.8 metric tonnes of heavy fuel oil, made its arrival in Tilbury on July 27 at 10 a.m. Shortly after unloading, the vessel departed again at 11:50 p.m., setting sail for Rotterdam with an estimated time of arrival on June 28.
