Wildebeest Vessel Reviews and Specifications

In a significant milestone for the maritime industry, Remontowa Shipyard in Poland has successfully delivered the eighth vessel in the MMC 887L Platform Supply Vessel (PSV) series to Edison Chouest Offshore. Named Wildebeest, this latest addition continues the tradition of naming vessels after various species of antelopes, with previous names including Bongo, Eland, Gemsbok, Kudu, Oryx, Sable, and Springbok. The Wildebeest is designed by MMC Ship Design & Marine Consulting, based in Gdynia, Poland. These DP2 vessels feature impressive specifications, boasting an overall length of 92.65 meters and a molded breadth of 18.80 meters. Additionally, the vessel provides a cargo deck area of 1,050 square meters and has the capacity to handle deck loads of nearly 3,000 tonnes. This delivery marks an important achievement for both Remontowa Shipyard and Edison Chouest Offshore as they expand their fleet capabilities.
