Final Outfitting Underway for VOS START at Damen-Oranje Shipyard
The VOS START, the latest addition to Vroon Offshore Services' fleet, has officially arrived at the Damen-Oranje shipyard for her final outfitting. This impressive vessel, measuring 80 meters in length and 18.4 meters in width, was built by Fujian Southeast Shipbuilding in China. Following her delivery journey to Amsterdam, VOS START is now being equipped with advanced features that will enhance its operational capabilities. Notably, this vessel boasts a motion-compensated gangway system and an active heave-compensated crane, positioning it as Vroon's inaugural DP2 subsea-support walk-to-work (W2W) vessel. Soon, VOS START will embark on its first charter under MHI Vestas Offshore Wind, where it will provide essential logistics support, accommodation, and walk-to-work services during the construction of the Walney Extension offshore wind farm.
