Diana Shipping Secures Time Charter for Bulk Carrier 'Aliki'
Diana Shipping Inc., through its wholly-owned subsidiary, has successfully negotiated a time charter agreement with SwissMarine Services S.A., based in Geneva, for the bulk carrier 'Aliki'. The contract outlines a gross charter rate of US$18,000 per day, subject to a 5% commission for third-party fees, and spans a period ranging from a minimum of 20 months to a maximum of 22 months. This charter is expected to kick off on April 4, 2018. Currently, the 'Aliki' is on a previous charter at a lower rate of US$10,300 per day, also minus the 5% commission. The upcoming charter is projected to yield approximately US$10.8 million in gross revenue over the minimum duration stipulated in the agreement.
