MOL Boosts Domestic Feeder Service with New Kashima Call
Mitsui O.S.K. Lines (Japan), Ltd. is set to enhance its domestic feeder service between Tokyo and Sendai by incorporating an additional sailing and a new port of call at Kashima, effective September 12, 2016. This strategic upgrade enables MOL to offer a more competitive and frequent connection between Sendai, Tokyo, Hitachi-Naka, and Kashima. The revised service will feature two weekly sailings operating on a seven-day rotation, a significant increase from the previous schedule of one weekly sailing. The updated itinerary will follow this rotation: Port Rotation (Turn Around: 7 days) - Sendai, Miyagi (Tue) – Hitachi-Naka (Wed) – Tokyo (Thu) – Sendai (Fri) – Kashima (Sat) – Tokyo (Mon) – Sendai (Tue). The service will kick off with the M/V “TSURUKABUTO,” which is expected to arrive at Sendai, Miyagi, on September 13, 2016.
