On September 18, 2018, Yang Ming celebrated the inauguration of its latest container vessel, 'YM Wellbeing', in a naming ceremony held at Imabari Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. This impressive ship is notable for its capacity of 14,000 TEU and is the first of a fleet of five similar vessels that Yang Ming has chartered from Shoei Kisen Kaisha, Ltd. With this addition, the YM Wellbeing becomes the 16th member of Yang Ming's expanding global fleet of 14,000 TEU vessels. Designed for optimal efficiency, the ship has a nominal capacity of 14,220 TEU, featuring 1,000 reefer plugs and dimensions that include an overall length of 366.44 meters, a beam of 51.2 meters, and a summer draft of 15.524 meters. Capable of reaching speeds of up to 23 knots, the YM Wellbeing embodies Yang Ming’s commitment to environmental sustainability, boasting eco-friendly designs and advanced technology that conform to the latest international regulations.
