One Ocean Expeditions (OOE) is set to enhance its polar exploration offerings with the addition of the Akademik Sergey Vavilov, which will join the Akademik Ioffe as the company’s second polar expedition ship in November 2023. Both vessels were constructed in the late 1980s by the Russian Academy of Science, with the Vavilov accommodating 92 guests on board.
