On October 3, 2020, the Port Authorities of Piraeus, Saronic Gulf, Lavrio, and Poros were alerted to an emergency involving a crew member from the vessel 'Alexandra A'. The 47-year-old man fell overboard while the ship was making its way from Piraeus to Alexandria in the Saronic Gulf. Following swift action, all nearby vessels were notified, prompting two patrol boats to head to the scene. Miraculously, the crew member was located and rescued in good health by the American vessel 'Trois Vignes'.
