Anchor Concerns for 'Amis Ace' in Chatham Sound
On March 5, 2020, at 1 a.m., the 'Amis Ace' found itself in a precarious situation while anchored in Anchorage 17, situated at Chatham Sound, British Columbia. Despite dragging its primary anchor, the vessel maintained its position at coordinates 54° 12' 51.8" N and 130° 32' 38.9" W. To address the issue, the crew deployed a second anchor, and a pilot was sent to assist in successfully repositioning the ship.
