Tragic Incident Aboard Tanker Angel No. 1: Captain Found Deceased
On November 22, 2010, the body of the captain aboard the tanker "Angel No. 1" was recovered and brought to shore in Phuket, Thailand. Reports indicate the captain passed away on the evening of November 21, around 6 p.m., while the vessel was en route from Singapore to India. Upon receiving the alarming news, Thai Marine Police dispatched a boat to the tanker to assist with the situation. The recovery took place at Phuket's Customs Pier on the east coast, just before noon. The captain was discovered deceased in his cabin, and his remains were subsequently transported to Vachira Hospital for further procedures. Authorities are awaiting notification from Chinese officials regarding the next steps for the captain's relatives and the ship's owners, while "Angel No. 1", carrying a crew of 17, continues its journey towards India.
