On March 28, 2015, the bulk carrier "Harvest Plains" drew attention in Brake when maritime police discovered it was significantly overloaded. The vessel had just arrived from Yuzhne with a cargo of 49,670 tons of corn, but during routine inspections, authorities noted that the ship's draught exceeded regulations by 10 centimeters. The 44-year-old captain from Bangladesh had complied with the Baltic Sea regulations but still ended up carrying an additional 500 tons beyond safe limits. Following the incident, an investigation was initiated, resulting in a safety deposit of 700 Euros imposed on the master of the vessel.
