On October 10, 2015, the acceptance and delivery certificate for the Beringov Proliv, a multipurpose salvage vessel from Project MPSV06 (Hull No 217), was officially signed, as confirmed by the Project designer, Marine Engineering Bureau. Following the signing, the vessel has departed for its registration port of Korsakov. Built by Nordic Yards Wismar GmbH in Wismar, Germany, the Beringov Proliv was commissioned by Rosmorrechflot for the FSI Sea Rescue Service of Rosmorrechflot. Designed by Marine Engineering Bureau, this advanced salvage icebreaker boasts impressive specifications, including a length overall (LOA) of 87.75 meters, a breadth overall (BOA) of 19.10 meters, and a depth of 9.00 meters, with a draught of 6.52 meters. The ship, classified under Russian Maritime Register of Shipping, features Icebreaker 6 class and is capable of operating in unrestricted navigation areas. Its design includes a distinctive icebreaker stem and cruiser aft end, complemented by an enlarged double-tier forecastle and living quarters positioned at the front. Powering the vessel is a diesel-electric power station situated in the midsection of the hull. The Beringov Proliv is equipped with two full-circle rudder propellers and bow thrusters, allowing for enhanced maneuverability in challenging conditions. The crew capacity is set at 22, including 2 medics, while 12 specialized personnel can be accommodated, ensuring the vessel's endurance for up to 30 days at sea.
