Gold Oil is gearing up to initiate a comprehensive marine 3D seismic survey over Block Z34, located offshore Peru, in early July 2011. On May 26, 2011, Gold Oil entered into a letter of intent with BGP Geoexplorer PTE Ltd, securing the services of the BGP Pioneer vessel for the project. This initial survey will cover 500 square kilometers of the southern section of the license area. Additionally, a second phase, requiring approximately 1,100 square kilometers, will be needed to thoroughly assess the northern part of this promising block. The BGP Pioneer is scheduled to mobilize to the operational site soon, with a journey to Peru expected to take around 20 days. After acquiring local clearances, the vessel is anticipated to commence operations in early July 2011, with a total acquisition timeframe estimated at roughly 30 days from the start of the operation.
