Notably, the RIO NAPO has been previously documented transporting Iranian Naphtha to the UAE. Additionally, the tanker 'Tonil' has a history of evading sanctions while delivering millions of barrels of Iranian oil; it is operated by the sanctioned Ukrainian company Lightship Management Ltd. Another affected entity, Indian Tightship Shipping Management (OPC) Private Ltd., is likewise implicated in the management of this vessel. These sanctions represent a significant escalation in efforts to counter Iran's influence and capabilities in the region.

In a significant maritime transaction, three vessels—BRITISH UNITY, BRITISH LIBERTY, and BRITISH LOYALTY—have been sold to Greek buyers in an en bloc deal valued at $12.4 million each. This purchase illustrates the ongoing interest and investment from Greek maritime stakeholders in expanding their fleets. The deal highlights the dynamic nature of the shipping industry and the strategic movements of assets among global buyers.
