On the afternoon of August 19, 2025, a notable maritime incident unfolded when the captain of a charter yacht reported to the Sassnitz Water Police that his vessel had been struck by the passenger ship 'Binz' near Sellin pier. As the 'Binz' was maneuvering away from the pier, it inadvertently reversed too closely to the anchored charter yacht, resulting in damage to both watercraft. Following the collision, both vessels successfully made their way to the port of Sassnitz.
