The vessel required immediate medical assistance for a 36-year-old second engineer who had suffered a cardiac arrest around 6 p.m. As the ship was navigating 18 nautical miles off the coast of Beypore, the Coast Guard swiftly dispatched a medical team to the scene. Upon arrival, the crew provided vital first aid to the afflicted officer before transferring him for urgent medical treatment at a nearby hospital. The 'Caribbean Galaxy,' which was making its way from Chennai to Mumbai, successfully docked in Mumbai on April 15 after the incident.
