ALP Maritime Service has officially named the ALP Striker, the inaugural vessel in a series of four state-of-the-art 300-ton bollard pull towing and anchor handling vessels, currently being constructed at Niigata Shipbuilding & Repair in Japan. Designed by Ulstein, the ALP Striker belongs to the advanced ALP Future class, showcasing remarkable capabilities. With a service speed of 13 knots and a top speed reaching 19 knots, these vessels are engineered for efficiency. Moreover, boasting a fuel capacity exceeding 3,500 tons, the ALP Striker is capable of continuous operations for up to 45 days, enabling it to undertake extensive towing missions across the Trans-Atlantic, Indian, and Pacific Oceans without requiring refueling stops.
