On March 13, 2019, the tanker 'Bomar Ceres' encountered an issue when it lost its starboard anchor along with four shackles while anchored at the Schouwenbank location, specifically at coordinates 051 48 00 N, 003 20 36 E. On January 3, 2015, at approximately 5:50 p.m., the vessel 'Bomar Ceres' responded to a distress situation in the Seine Bay, located around 15 nautical miles north of Courseulles-sur-Mer. The ship reported seeing the final remnants of a distress flare near the position of the fishing boat 'Saint Antoine de Padue,' which had triggered its emergency beacon. Upon arrival, the 'Bomar Ceres' quickly located a life raft containing three sailors and launched its rescue boat, which successfully retrieved them from the water. A diver was then hoisted into the raft to ensure the fishermen's safety. After confirming that all three had been rescued, they were winched aboard the helicopter. The CROSS, in coordination with the SAMU medical service in Le Havre, arranged for the survivors to be transported to Hospital Monod in Le Havre, where they arrived at 7:10 p.m. for necessary medical assessments. It was reported that the fishing trawler had capsized and subsequently sank approximately 13 nautical miles north of Port-en-Bessin.
