Navios Maritime has successfully executed a significant sale and leaseback transaction involving a fleet of six vessels based in South Korea. The deal comprises three Long Range 1 (LR1) tankers: the 'Nave Cielo' (IMO: 1,000,000, built in 2007 by STX), 'Nave Ariadne' (IMO: 1,000,001, built in 2007 by STX), and 'Nave Atropos' (IMO: 1,000,002, built in 2013 by Sungdong); alongside three Medium Range 2 (MR2) tankers: 'Bougainville' (IMO: 1,000,003, built in 2013 by STX), 'Nave Equator' (IMO: 1,000,004, built in 2009 by SPP), and 'Nave Pyxis' (IMO: 1,000,005, built in 2014 by Dae Sun). This comprehensive package was sold en bloc for an impressive USD 90.8 million to a consortium of Chinese buyers, with an average time charter of approximately 6.4 years secured for the vessels.
