On October 15, 2025, the bulk carrier 'Brilliance' faced detention at Iskenderun Port as mandated by the Mediterranean MoU authorities. A thorough inspection revealed a total of 14 deficiencies, with four being categorized as serious enough to justify the detention. Inspectors scrutinized numerous critical areas aboard the vessel, including ballast tanks, cargo holds, the engine room, the navigation bridge, outside decks, and the steering room. In addition to these checks, operational drills assessing communication equipment and emergency fire pumps were conducted. After addressing the issues, the 'Brilliance' was officially released on October 18.
