On the morning of June 18, 2019, a tragic incident unfolded involving the bulk carrier 'Stellar Toledo', which was operating approximately 12 miles southwest of Kefalonia, Greece. The Port Authority of Patras received an urgent notification about the death of a crew member onboard. In response, the vessel made its way to the anchorage at the northern port of Patras, where the body was appropriately handed over to the patrol boat 'Priteos'. The 'Priteos' then transported the deceased to the shore, and subsequently, the individual was taken to the University General Hospital of Rio. A necropsy was mandated by the Central Port Authority of Patras, which is currently conducting a preliminary investigation into the circumstances surrounding this unfortunate event.
