In a concerning development, seven crew members aboard the Cabo Victoria, a vessel currently moored in Quintero Bay, have tested positive for COVID-19. This alarming discovery occurred after the implementation of health protocols for ships arriving from different regions to the Valparaíso area. Initially, four crew members exhibited unusual symptoms, prompting immediate isolation measures. Subsequent testing revealed that out of ten crew members who underwent PCR tests, seven returned positive results. Furthermore, an additional 13 crew members are in preventive quarantine at a designated health facility due to their close contact with the infected individuals. The Cabo Victoria, with over 28 crew members onboard, departed from Quintero on September 17, 2020, and is now anchored near Valparaíso.
