An Emirati-owned cargo ship, Feodora, was detained at the southern Iranian port of Bandar Imam Khomeini on Tuesday due to an issue with its documents. The vessel, flying under the Panamanian flag, caught the attention of maritime control when it was discovered that the full name of the Persian Gulf was omitted from its documentation. According to Aboutaleb Gerailoo, a representative from the Port and Maritime Organization in Khuzestan province, the documentation included what was described as a 'fake term' instead of the historically and internationally accepted name 'Persian Gulf.' As a result of this violation, Iranian authorities have announced that the ship will not receive any services until the documentation is amended to reflect the correct nomenclature.
