What Crew Members Say About Ch-Billion

On February 6, 2025, the United States government announced a new package of sanctions aimed at the tanker 'CH Billion'. This vessel was implicated in transport actions involving more than 700,000 barrels of Iranian crude, which it received from a Tehran-owned ship in Singapore waters in 2024. In addition, 'CH Billion' has been identified as part of a fleet operating out of Russia’s Kozmino Pacific port, a hotspot for sanctioned oil trades. Following heavy sanctions imposed on this fleet just the month prior, two other tankers—named 'Gioiosa' and 'Star Forest'—were also under scrutiny. Additionally, the Comoros-flagged tanker 'Siri' was highlighted in the sanctions. This vessel, previously sanctioned, has attempted to evade detection by altering its documentation and obscuring its name to masquerade as another tanker known as 'New Prime'. These sanctions also extend to various individuals and entities in multiple countries, with links to transactions on behalf of the Iranian Armed Forces General Staff and its affiliated company, Sepehr Energy Jahan Nama Pars.
