Working Conditions Aboard the Chemway-Lara

On the evening of August 13, 2020, at 7:20 PM, the tanker 'Chemway Lara' made a desperate Mayday call after spotting a capsized red kayak two kilometers east of buoy 13 near Warnemünde. In response, the lifeboat 'Vormann Jantzen', the catamaran yacht 'Salina', and the police boat 'MV1' swiftly launched a search and rescue (SAR) operation. During this critical mission, the 'Vormann Jantzen' successfully located and rescued a hypothermic man, who was subsequently transported to Warnemünde for medical assistance.
