The vessel, laden with an impressive 40,000 tons of sorghum, was on its way from ACA Terminal in San Lorenzo to the port of Quequén in Buenos Aires. The ship's mission was to load an additional 25,000 tons of barley destined for China. On March 20, the cargo vessel "India," transporting 50,437 tons of manganese ore from Port Elizabeth to Murmansk, experienced engine failure and was reported not under command approximately 45 nautical miles from Gallan Head, positioned at 58°45'N latitude and 08°06'W longitude. The ship required a piston replacement for the main engine, which was expected to take around eight hours for repairs. By 5 p.m. the same day, the repairs were completed, allowing the vessel to resume its voyage. The "India" now has an estimated time of arrival at Murmansk set for March 23 at 1 p.m.
