The Bow Dalian has officially re-entered service following extensive repair work, as confirmed on October 23. The vessel completed its repairs at the Orient Shipyard Co., Ltd., located in Busan, and departed from the shipyard at 10 a.m. the same day, setting its course towards Ulsan. Meanwhile, the Stolt Groenland remains docked at Ulsan as it manages the transfer of both undamaged and sound cargo to other tankers. This cargo transfer operation is anticipated to be finalized by the close of October 2019. The Bow Dalian’s return marks a significant recovery for the fleet following its recent fire incident.

In recent maritime developments, the 'Bow Dalian' has been successfully lightered and subsequently navigated to Busan for essential repairs following damage sustained during the explosion of the 'Stolt Groenland' in Ulsan. The cargo transfer took place between October 8 and 9, 2019, as the crew efficiently moved all items to the sister vessel, 'Bow Nangang'. After completing the transfer operations, the 'Bow Dalian' departed Ulsan on October 10, 2019, arriving in Busan the very same day to commence repairs for the fire-related damages. The shipowners have contracted Orient Shipyard Co., Ltd. in Busan to handle the repair work, which officially began on October 11 and is anticipated to be completed by the end of November 2019.

The chemical tanker 'Stolt Grönland' suffered a significant fire at Yeonpo Pier in Ulsan, with firefighters successfully extinguishing the blaze on September 29 at 11 a.m. A collaborative probe is set to commence involving the Ulsan Maritime Police and Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology to uncover the explosion's root cause. Despite the fire being put out, boarding the vessel remains hazardous due to residual petrochemicals. In a precautionary measure, the Korea Coast Guard has deployed an oil containment boom around the ship to address any potential leaks of oil or chemicals. Initial investigations will focus on the 'Bow Dalian.'
