Fire Erupts on Tanker 'Hoyu' Near Pedra Branca

On November 7, 2019, a significant fire incident occurred aboard the 'Hoyu', a tanker situated approximately 9.7 miles northeast of Pedra Branca, at coordinates 01°25.30' N and 104°32.48' E, close to the Horsburgh Lighthouse in the Eastern Singapore Strait. The vessel, which was fully loaded with oil products, was in transit from Singapore to Jasaan when the blaze ignited in its superstructure, affecting the wheelhouse.
