In light of rising concerns from families, the deputy head of maritime affairs from Hormozgan Province Ports and Maritime had a meeting with the captains of both vessels. During this engagement, the captains confirmed that their crews are both mentally and physically fine, receiving appropriate treatment from military personnel. The crews have been given SIM cards and cellphones to maintain contact with their families, dispelling fears regarding their welfare. Furthermore, the PMO representative emphasized the importance of safety and pollution prevention, providing the captains with critical operational guidance. In compliance with international regulations, it was decided that necessary measures would be undertaken to assist the ships’ crews in fulfilling international obligations, including documenting shipboard events. The captains were encouraged to communicate with authorities should any new needs arise and assured that there are no restrictions on daily operations on board. Additionally, consular meetings for the crews are now being facilitated, ensuring that the personnel aboard are receiving the support they require.

Maritime officials in Greece are urging global intervention for the release of the 'Delta Poseidon' and 'Prudent Warrior', two tankers taken by Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps in the Persian Gulf last week in a retaliatory act. Greek Merchant Marine Minister Ioannis Plakiotakis has labeled this event a significant threat to maritime security and trade. Speaking on June 3, he emphasized, "We call on all nations to act to put an end to this unacceptable incident and ensure that it does not occur again." On June 2, reports from the Greek Coast Guard and independent monitoring organizations confirmed that the vessels were anchored near Bandar Abbas, close to Larak Island, at coordinates 26.91895° N, 56.38144° E. The crews comprise at least nine Greek citizens and one Cypriot national. While Tehran claims that the crew members are in good health and have not been detained, both Germany and France have condemned the seizure and urged Iran to release the ships along with their personnel. In response, the Iranian government dismissed these statements as "biased" and indicated that they constitute "inappropriate interference."
