A serious maritime incident occurred on June 22, 2011, in the Caland Canal of Rotterdam when the bunker tanker 'Vialis' (ENI-No.: 03150421), weighing 1,500 tons, broke in two while transferring fuel to the vessel 'Marida Mimosa.' This unfortunate event led to a spill of diesel fuel into the canal. In response to the emergency, the tanker 'Hydrovac 9' was dispatched to pump out the remaining diesel and contain the situation.
