On April 26, 2021, during a thorough inspection of the cargo ship 'Skyros', authorities at Isthmia took swift action against a suspected drug trafficking operation. Members of the Directorate of Drug Prosecution & Smuggling, along with specially trained police dogs, conducted a routine search of the vessel but initially failed to uncover any illicit substances. This prompted the involvement of the Submarine Missions Unit, which deployed a dive team to scour the underwater areas of the ship.
