Golden Ocean Group Limited (GOGL), a prominent player in the dry bulk shipping industry based in Norway, has successfully welcomed a new addition to its fleet. This recent acquisition marks the culmination of a transaction first announced on March 14, 2017, when GOGL revealed plans to acquire a total of 16 modern dry bulk vessels through an all-share agreement, resulting in the issuance of 17.8 million consideration shares. The company is thrilled to report the delivery of the vessel identified as Q Gayle, which is set to be rebranded as Golden Gayle. As part of this transaction, Golden Ocean has allocated 1.8 million consideration shares to Quintana Shipping Ltd. and its associated firms in exchange for the vessel's ownership. With this latest addition, GOGL's total issued share capital now stands at USD 6,206,149.60, split across 124,122,992 shares, each carrying a nominal value of USD 0.05. This strategic move highlights Golden Ocean's commitment to enhancing its operational capabilities in the dry bulk sector.

A new charter has been finalized for the transportation of 180,000 tonnes of iron ore from Port Hedland to Qingdao. The agreement stipulates a freight rate of $6.25 per tonne, with operational conditions for scale loading. The discharge is to be conducted at a rate of 30,000 tonnes per hatch, scheduled for November 25 to 30. This transaction is facilitated by Fortescue Metals Group (FMG) and highlights ongoing trading activities in the iron ore market.
