Bulk Carrier Tasman Sea Grounded in Tripoli Harbour

On January 26, 2013, the bulk carrier Tasman Sea encountered trouble when it ran aground in Tripoli Harbour, finding itself stranded off the channel. Despite multiple efforts by port tugs, all attempts to refloat the vessel were unsuccessful. Subsequently, Smit Salvage was brought on board to assist, and after their intervention, the vessel was successfully refloated and berthed safely.
