On Thursday, June 8, 2017, AET proudly introduced its latest additions to the fleet—a duo of long-range (LR2) petroleum tankers—at a ceremony held at Hyundai Heavy Industries' (HHI) Gunsan Shipyard in South Korea. The two vessels, the Eagle Lyon and Eagle Le Havre, boast impressive specifications with a deadweight tonnage of 114,000 tons each. The Singapore-flagged Eagle Lyon and the French-flagged Eagle Le Havre are now part of a long-term charter agreement with TOTAL, the prominent French oil company. The naming ceremony, attended by esteemed figures including Yee Yang Chien, AET Chairman and President/Group CEO of MISC Berhad, and Capt. As part of the festivities, the vessels received blessings from their Godmother, Mrs. Helle Kristoffersen, Senior Vice-President of Strategy and Corporate Affairs in the Gas Renewables and Power Division at TOTAL.
