Eagle San Francisco Faces Injector Issues During Fuel Transition
On November 12, 2018, at 6:50 a.m., the tanker 'Eagle San Francisco' encountered a mechanical issue related to clogged fuel injectors. This incident occurred while the vessel was transitioning from low sulfur fuel oil to high sulfur fuel oil at coordinates 49°28'34" N, 005°18'28" W, approximately 30 miles SSW of Lizard Point. The ship, carrying a crew of 24 and transporting a substantial cargo of 149,000 tonnes of fuel oil, was on its way from Rotterdam to Brixham at the time. After undergoing repairs for about seven hours, the 'Eagle San Francisco' successfully continued its journey.
